The paper crane is a symbol of peace, love, hope and healing during challenging times. Let the paper crane remind you that you are not alone, and when everyone holds this same intention we all stand for something greater.
I’ve made these paper cranes as a gift for a couple who celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today. For me the cranes symbolize happiness, love and good fortune. They also function as memory keepers. A friend gifted me these beautiful origami-papers from Indonesia when I was 9 years old. I’ve folded a lot of paper cranes since. It’s not hard, but it takes time. For me it brings peace of mind.
