I’ve made these paper cranes as a gift for a couple who celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today. For me the cranes symbolize happiness, love and good fortune. They also function as memory keepers. A friend gifted me these beautiful origami-papers from Indonesia when I was 9 years old. I’ve folded a lot of paper cranes since. It’s not hard, but it takes time. For me it brings peace of mind.
